I’ve always been a person who believes in doing something for the love and passion of the thing, not necessarily for the money. Unfortunately the electric and gas companies don’t feel the same way. Nor do the universities I wish to assist my children in attending in the next few years. So it is with mixed emotions that I officially stop publishing WednesdayWoman to pursue other opportunities. (I know I actually stopped in April, but I’ve been in denial until recently).
One of the aspects I enjoyed most was sharing my thoughts with you in the opening essays. The responses I received were just further proof of what I’ve always known; no matter what differences we see on the surface, we all go through the same stuff, we all hope for the same things.
I intend to continue writing essays in a column titled Life under 500 words and publishing them on mywriting website. WednesdayWoman subscribers will automatically get a notice when a new column is published, but since that isn’t what you originally signed up for, please don’t hesitate to hit unsubscribe if this new format is not for you.
But whatever you decide, I want to thank every one of you who read WednesdayWoman and encouraged others to read it.
I want to thank the advertisers who supported me despite my incredible lack of business skills.
I want to thank the regular columnists:
Julie Broczkowski who shared recipes, cooking advice and her great product finds.
Joan Jesion who truly wants us all to reach inside and find our best selves.
Danielle Cardinal whose passion for making fitness part of our lives, and not just a to do list item, even changed my habits (a little).
I’d also like to thank: Janet Gray for the regular financial advice from Investors Group. Irene Bilinski for the great real estate tips. Lise Archambault for the indispensable travel information. Debbie MacIsaac for her decorating wisdom.
To all the other great women who submitted articles or allowed me to reprint from their websites, many many thanks to you also.
WednesdayWoman was a great adventure, I wish I had been able to sustain it.
If you want to do business with great women who go that extra mile visit these WednesdayWoman supporters
